Abstract:

To facilitate the transition to a simulation-based training methodology, a comprehensive and interactive DVD with video-based depiction of the technology, skills, techniques, and attitudes for effective scenario development and debriefing has been developed. This new tool will familiarize instructors with simulation and guide them in how to incorporate this innovative methodology into NRP courses in 2012 and beyond. Each current and future NRP instructor will be required to purchase his or her own DVD, which will offer continuing education credit. Current NRP instructors are required to complete the DVD by January 1, 2012.
